Da dies auch fl\u00e4chendeckend geschieht, wirkt der Einsatz dieser Schriftart mitunter auch etwas einfallslos. Dabei gibt es einige attraktive Arial-Alternativen. Wir zeigen Ihnen unsere Favoriten.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Die Groteskschrift Arial ist ein echter Computer-Font, da die Schriftgestalter Robin Nicholas und Patricia Saunders sie im Auftrag von Monotype speziell f\u00fcr den Bildschirm entwickelten. Sie sollte die Schriftart Helvetica abl\u00f6sen, da diese auf niedrig aufl\u00f6senden Bildschirmen nur schwer lesbar war. Als Basis f\u00fcr die Arial diente die Schrift <a href=\"https:\/\/fonts.adobe.com\/fonts\/monotype-grotesque\">Monotype Grotesque<\/a>, die Frank Hinman Pierpont 1926 entwarf.<\/p>\n<p>Da Arial Bestandteil der Microsoft-Office-Pakete ist, kennt und verwendet sie (fast) jeder \u2013 mancher private Nutzer sogar ohne darauf zu achten. Dadurch ist sie \u00fcberall pr\u00e4sent. Dies macht sie vor allem bei Designern unbeliebt. Sie bringen sogar noch andere Kritikpunkte an, finden die Schriftart hat wenig Charakter und wirkt eher unharmonisch.<\/p>\n<p>Dabei hat Arial auch ihre Vorteile: Sie ist gut lesbar \u2013 auch auf kleinen Displays \u2013 und so neutral, dass sie zu nahezu allen Textarten passt.
